Arsenal are confident they will able to sign the wantaway striker this summer, and according to The Mirror, they even hope to be able to parade their new signing at the Emirates cup next weekend.
Suarez has indicated he wants to leave for a Champions League club, with Liverpool missing out on European football altogether last season, but Brendan Rodgers has said that they hope to keep the Uruguayan striker at Anfield.
Arsenal hoped their bid of just over £40million would trigger a release clause, but this was no the case, and Liverpool are ready to hold out for a bigger fee despite Real Madrid apparently solely focussing on Gareth Bale this summer instead of Suarez.
Valencia have set a price-tag of £9million for their defender Adil Rami, who Arsenal have been linked with this summer.
The 27-year-old is keen to move to a bigger club, with Valencia finishing outside the Champions League places in La Liga last season, and has also been linked with Napoli.
Rami has played 25 times for France, and joined Valencia from Lille in January 2011. Arsene Wenger is keen to sign a defender after Thomas Vermaelen was ruled out for the three months with a back injury.
Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Wayne Rooney this summer, but will only let the 27-year-old leave for a club outside the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea set to be disappointed in their pursuit of the striker.
Chelsea have made Rooney their primary target this summer, whilst Arsenal could turn to the England international if they are unable to complete a move for Suarez.
Rooney only has two years left on his contract at Manchester United, and the Premier League champions know his value will start to fall if they keep him for another season.
