Transfer talk: Featuring Vydra, Soldado and '€120m' for Bale

Roberto Soldado

Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester United, West Ham, West Brom, Norwich City, Arsenal, Sunderland and Swansea all feature.

Tottenham Hotspur have finalised a deal to bring Nacer Chadli to the club from Dutch outfit FC Twente today. The Belgian international has been with Spurs on their pre-season tour after a fee was agreed with the Eredivisie club recently. Now personal terms have been agreed and a medical passed as Chadli completes a permanent move for a £7 million fee.

Staying with Spurs and Gareth Bale is in talks with Tottenham over a new contract. It comes as reports in Spain link Real Madrid with a world record breaking €120 million interest in the Welsh superstar. However Andre Villas Boas has confirmed they have been in talks with the player since 2012 over improving his current deal.

Crystal Palace will not be signing either Dan Gosling or Carlton Cole. The clubs co-chairman, Steve Parish, explained the decision:

‘’It's very unlikely Dan and Carlton will be signing, we have decided to move on. We are now looking at alternative targets."

Liverpool are now eyeing up Valencia striker Roberto Soldado, who has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs recently, as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez.

Tottenham have so far struggled to come to terms with the fact the 28-year-old marksman is going to set them back a whopping £26 million. Liverpool would be willing to pay that sort of outlay for the Spanish international, if, Suarez pushes through an exit.

The same report claims that Suarez has informed Liverpool that he wants a move to Arsenal and that he is perturbed by their decision to reject the recent bid for the player.

Gary Hooper has passed his medical and is expected to be named formally as a Norwich City player later today. The £5.2 million deal from Celtic has been completed from under the nose of Harry Redknapp and QPR; who thought they had signed the former Tottenham trainee.

Salamon Kalou has rejected the chance to join West Ham. The Ivorian had an excellent season as a striker with Lille last term and wished to play through the middle again. West Ham could not give him the assurances he required. Kalou is now expected to join West Brom.

West Brom are also in the hunt for Matej Vydra. They want to sign the Czech international on a season-long loan but are in competition with Swansea and Sunderland.

Finally and news regarding Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish international has reportedly told close friends he wants to move to Manchester United this summer. Barcelona have so far turned down two offers for the player; with a third said to be in the works.
