Chelsea transfer news: Dutchman rules out move, Mourinho cool over Rooney

A round up of the latest transfer stories concerning Chelsea.

Dutch star Wesley Sneijder has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.

Sneijder has been linked with a move from Turkish club Galatasaray because of his close personal and professional relationship with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

“I am always in talks with Mourinho. I am in contact with him right now. But this has nothing to do with any transfer negotiations. We are good friends and keep in touch regularly,” said Sneijder.

Jose Mourinho has revealed he is satisfied with the Chelsea squad following their 8-1 demolition of the Indonesia All-Stars team in a pre-season friendly.

Mourinho says he is satisfied with the variety of strikers at the club and says the club may not pursue their recent bid for Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney.

“At this moment we have made what you know; that bid which was public and official and after that nothing else. But we are calm as we told you that we are calm because we are happy with what we have,” said Mourinho.

Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon says he thinks he’s too young to be playing for the current first team.

Piazon has been linked with a loan move to Liverpool and Crystal Palace as he looks to enhance his first team experience, improving his chances of playing regularly for the first team at Stamford Bridge.

“To be fair, I think I am too young to be playing at Chelsea - It’s important for me to stay in England and get used to the league where Chelsea play. English football is different to Spanish,” said the Brazilian.
