A round up of the latest transfer stories connected to Chelsea.
Chelsea are set to offer midfielder Juan Mata a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
There has been speculation that the Spaniard could leave the club this summer with possible moves to Manchester United and Barcelona on the table.
However, reports suggest Mata will be given a new five-year contract with improved terms in a bid to keep him in West London.
The 18-year-old spent time on loan with Watford last season and has impressed so far in pre-season and the England Under-21 international appears to be part of Jose Mourinho’s long term plans for Chelsea.
“He (Mourinho) has already told me he likes me and he likes what I'm doing, but he reckons another year out is probably the best decision. A loan is probably the best move at the moment,” said Chalobah.
Chelsea have sent several young players out on loan ahead of the new season.
Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta have both been sent to Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem as part of the partnership between the two clubs with Thorgan Hazard moving to SV Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League.
The moves are designed to improve the first team experience of each player, seeing them return to Stamford Bridge as better players.
