CONFIRMED: Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland starting line-ups

Tottenham and Sunderland face off in the first all Premier League fixture of pre-season so far.

Sunderland's face Premier League opposition in Tottenham Hotpsur this morning at 11am as the two sides begin contesting the Barclays Asia Trophy.

Manchester City face South China at 1.30pm, with the winners of the two matches facing off in a final on Saturday.

Both Tottenham and Sunderland have been active in the transfer market, with Spurs adding Nacer Chadli and Paulinho.

Sunderland manager Paolo di Canio has added several fresh faces, in Jozy Altidore, Emmanuel Giaccherini, Cabral and Vito Mannone.

Both clubs have named their starting line-ups for the match, which are as follows, with surprise Spurs start for forgotten man Heurelho Gomes, while Danny Rose features against the side he played for on loan last season:


Gomes; Walker, Caulker, Dawson, Rose; Huddlestone, Lennon, Parker; Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Adebayor.

Subs: Friedel, Lloris, Assou-Ekotto, Fryers, Naughton, Vertonghen, Carroll, Townsend, Defoe.


Mannone, Brown, O'Shea, Cabral, Larsson, Colback, Gardner, Johnson, Giaccherini, Altidore, Sessegnon.

Subs: Westwood, Pickford, Roberge, Wickham, Karlsson, Mandron, Ba, McClean, Vaughan, Cuellar.
