A round up of the latest transfer stories connected to Chelsea.
Chelsea have completed a deal to sign Chilean wonder kid Cristian Cuevas.
The £3 million deal for the player was reportedly agreed back in February after he’d impressed during a trial spell from his parent club O’Higgins.
Cuevas is an extremely versatile player who can play down the left wing or tuck inside as a left full back, giving Jose Mourinho several options if he wants to draft the youngster into the first team.
Chelsea are set to end speculation over the future of Juan Mata by offering the Spaniard a new contract.
The midfielder has been the subject of speculation since Jose Mourinho came back to the club, with some sources suggesting he would be moved on.
However, Chelsea will reportedly up his wage deal to £100,000 per week and look to tie him down for several years.
Chelsea striker Demba Ba continues to be linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli.
Ba is thought to be dispensable at Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho showing faith to younger attacking players and the club going after Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
West Ham United are also thought to be keeping a close eye on Ba’s availability at Chelsea.
