Gearbox lifts lid on new Borderland 2 DLC

Borderlands Tiny Tina

Level cap set to jump to 72 in two new downloadable expansions.

Gamers at antipodean convention PAX Australia were told that there will be two new DLC expansions for the popular RPG-meets-FPS Borderlands 2.

Fans will first get their hands on the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge, with new maps and a mode to fight overpowered enemies for “new loot and the ability to 'over level' your game for extra challenges” (via Kotaku).

Prominently featured in the new downloadable content is the blind amputee T.K. Baha in the addon Headhunter Pack, with the main enemy named Jacques O'Lantern – which sounds like a crossover between St. Patrick's Day and Halloween.

Gearbox gave some details on pricing, saying that neither expansion would be considered part of the Season Pass DLC, and that the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 would cost $5.

However, no pricing details were offered up for the anticipated return of Zombie-hating T.K. Baha's DLC expansion.

The developer's last expansion, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep was well received during our hands on preview.

Our writer Bracken Keysell commented: "exploring the mind of a deranged explosive obsessed psychopath has never been this fun."
