Firing with Sneijder and Drogba - Former Blackburn loanee enjoying Turkish return

Galatasaray Fans

Former Blackburn Rovers loanee Colin Kazim-Richards was on the scoresheet for Galatasaray yesterday.

A world away from the chaos he saw last season at Blackburn, Colin Kazim-Richards is back in company he will regard as more esteemed.

He was at Rovers on loan from Turkish giants Galatasaray, but has since returned and is taking part in their pre-season tour.

Last week he was in action as they scraped a 2-1 win over Notts County, and he played a big role in Sunday's friendly with fellow Champions League quarter-finalists from last season, Malaga.

Kazim-Richards scored a 90th minute equaliser, joining Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba on the scoresheet.

Another former Blackburn man, Roque Santa Cruz also found the net for Malaga, scoring their opener.

The goal will certainly be a confidence booster for Kazim-Richards, and give him hope he can play a role for his employers next season as they try to build on last season's European success.
