This is the ultimate in bragging rights.

Dealbreaker reports that an unnamed BMO Capital Markets analyst is leaving the firm for the opportunity of lifetime.

Here's the farewell email he's said to have sent to staff last week:

Subject: Farewell

Dear Colleagues,

It is with sadness that I am emailing you to say farewell on my final day here at BMO. However, it is with great pride and excitement that I am able to announce my future plans.

Just this week, I was informed that I was selected from among tens of thousands of applicants to participate in a highly experimental civilian space travel program coordinated by NASA and the U.S. government. In September I will pack my bags for Florida where I will begin a one-year training program, which will culminate in a six-month trip to the International Space Station. Unfortunately, I cannot divulge too many details about the program and our mission but suffice to say, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If for some reason I should not return, please know that it was pleasure working with you all.
