Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the £10million-rated player, and could step up their interest after Thomas Vermaelen’s recent injury, with Williams suggesting he was flattered by the speculation.
"It means you're doing something right and people are talking about you at least," Williams told Sky Sports News.
"I take it as a compliment. I don't really read the papers and that type of thing. You don't really know, as that's the future, and I can't really say. Different circumstances determine different things.”
Brendan Rodgers has said that Luis Suarez is not for sale this summer, and suggested that Liverpool will not allow the speculation surrounding the striker to continue much longer.
Arsenal are the only side to have made a bid for Suarez so far, but Real Madrid are also apparently interested in the player. There have been reports that a bid of £40million would trigger a release clause in Suarez’ contract.
However Rodgers has indicated that is not the case by saying that Liverpool might not sell Suarez even if a bid matching the £55million PSG recently paid for Edinson Cavani was made.
Andre Santos is close to finalising a move to Brazilian side Flamengo, after spending the past few months on loan at Gremio.
The 30-year-old will apparently sign a contract at Flamengo until 2015, and has expressed his delight at the move.
"The feeling couldn't be better, as I am very happy with the achievement of playing for a great club like Flamengo," he told Globo Esporte.
