Brendan Rodgers has said it will take something drastic to get Luis Suarez away from Liverpool. Several clubs are thought to be tracking Suarez’s situation with Arsenal having already had a huge offer for the forward dismissed instantly for being way below the club’s valuation of the player.

A move for Mamadou Sakho of PSG could be on if the French club sign Marquinhos from Roma. Sakho has reportedly been offered a contract extension, which he’s yet to sign as he’s waiting to see if the club brings in the talented defender who has also been the subject of Manchester United interest.

Liverpool could target Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata for as little as £6 million according to online reports. The 20-year-old is thought to be keen on playing regularly, which may not be possible if the Spanish club sign a superstar striker which has been suggested this summer.

Paris Saint-German forward Kevin Gameiro will not be signing for Liverpool. The forward has opted for a move to Sevilla in La Liga, delivering a blow to the Anfield club who had reportedly been interested in him for several months. Sevilla have targeted him as a replacement for Alvaro Negredo.

AC Milan are winning the battle against Liverpool for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen. Ajax coach Frank de Boer recently said Eriksen was free to choose Liverpool if that was his choice but a Danish news source has suggested the player has agreed terms with the Italian side.

Liverpool are set to miss out on FC Porto winger Christian Atsu, refusing to budge on their €4 million valuation of the 21-year-old. Atsu refused to sign a new contract with Porto, which would have significantly enhanced the size of his but out clause, ultimately making him more expensive.

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is reportedly close to completely a loan move to Championship side Wigan Athletic. The youngster is apparently keen to play regular first team football, which he doesn’t see as possible at the moment under Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Mark Lawrenson says it’s vital Brendan Rodgers does some good business for the club over the next six weeks. Rodgers is still targeting further signings to improve his team before the start of the season, to prevent a repeat of last season’s start which saw Liverpool lingering in the bottom half of the table.

A possible ground share between Liverpool and Everton is a considerable way off after a business briefing involving both clubs this week. Liverpool have made it clear they plan to push forward with the redevelopment of Anfield, turning the current ground into a 60,000 capacity stadium.
