Poor Wayne Rooney. Cast aside in Sir Alex Ferguson's final games, and already looking like having reduced options under David Moyes.
After having withdrawn from the early part of United's pre-season tour, Rooney apparently had to phone the club to ask if comments from his manager about being 'cover for Robin van Persie' were true.
'Sky sources' reported last night that Rooney was 'angry and confused' at his treatment, which sparked a trend on Twitter of fans of pretty much all clubs including his own taking jabs at the striker.

Do you think Rooney has a right to be upset? Should he be allowing his future to play out in the media like this?
