Napoli have now officially joined the race to sign Real Madrid striker and Arsenal transfer target Gonzalo Higuain. The Serie A runners-up are after a new marquee centre forward after selling Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. The clubs president Aurelio De Laurentiis has now admitted there is over €100 million available to Rafael Benitez in the transfer market this summer.

Higuain is not the only player they are chasing. They will also look to snap up Leandro Damiao from Internacional with bids for both players expected to be lodged in the coming days.

Robert Lewandowski has admitted defeat in his attempt to join Bayern Munich this season and says he has come to terms with the fact he will be a Borussia Dortmund player next season. The Polish international is well known to want a switch to their Bavarian domestic rivals but will not be going anywhere until his contract expires in 12 months.

PSG have quite cheekily turned the tables on Barcelona today with the French outfit suggesting they could be after some of the Nou Camps biggest stars this summer. It comes as Barca continue to press for Thiago Silva despite being told he is not for sale. PSG are also closing in on deals for Lucas Digne and Marquinhos of Lille and Roma respectively. 

They have also been quick to confirm that neither Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will be leaving the club this summer. 

Young Ghanaian sensation Frank Acheampong has been linked with a move to AC Milan. The teenager only made the move to Belgian outfit Anderlecht In January but has been in great form for the club; which has caused big teams to circle.

Ruben Perez has joined Elche on loan from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season. It follows a similar deal at Real Betis last season.
