This is a strange summer for Arsenal, and to that degree the club should be forgiven a little for not getting it quite right in the transfer market so far.
Rather than having their summer plans ruined by trying to fend off bids for their most coveted players from sides around Europe, the boot is on the other food.
Arsenal are the predator, the aggressor, and no simpler case can be found as evidence of that than the Luis Suarez saga.
The Gunners are very much surprise entrants in the race for his signature, just like Manchester United were for Robin van Persie was this time last year.
Our question is not whether it resolves itself in the same way, nobody has the answers to that at present, but to how Arsenal fans feel about the way it is playing out?
Suarez has agitated his club all summer long, through quotes in the foreign media about a desire to leave English football, to speaking about being 'one phone call away' from leaving the club, to simply refusing to commit to the club.
It's a story Arsenal fans know well, from previous summer sagas involving Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri et al.
So should supporters feel glad the boot is on the other foot? Does it mean they have arrived as a spending force, or does it simply mean they have a greater position of power than Liverpool?
Do fans revel in the fact it is not their club for once whose summer has a giant shadow cast over it?
Or... should they worry. Worry about the way Luis Suarez is treating Liverpool, in the knowledge that it reveals further concern over his character.
If Suarez treats Liverpool like this despite the backing they have given him through tougher times, what is to say he will not do exactly the same to Arsenal two years down the line when a better offer presents itself?
Arsenal have the money, but they should surely look to spend it on players who are less likely to make them rue their huge investment.
Which side of the fence do you sit on? Are you happy Arsenal are the predators, or are you worried about Suarez' behaviour if he joins Arsenal?
