Liverpool are set to approach Bayern Munich over a possible deal for winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

The player is set to have talks with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola this week but the 21-year-old doesn’t seem to have any guarantee of first team football in Germany.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he is looking for one more attacking signing to add to his squad before the start of the season and Shaqiri could end up being that player.

Liverpool have completed a deal for Spanish star Pedro Chirivella.

The 16-year-old joins from Valencia on a four-year contract as Brendan Rodgers shows no intention of dropping his youth policy any time soon.

The value of the deal for Chirivella could be decided by a tribunal because of his age, with Liverpool thought to have paid a fee of £1.5 million, £2 million less than what Valencia feel he’s worth.

Liverpool have been given the go ahead to try and sign Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Brendan Rodgers has reportedly been tracking the midfielder for some time and Ajax coach Frank de Boer has said he will not get in the way of the players desire if that means signing for Liverpool.

“It is up to Christian what he wants. If he feels good going to Liverpool, then it is up to him. I would want nothing more than having him with us for a few more years,” said de Boer.
