Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has said he would relish linking up with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. Rooney has been linked with a big money move to Stamford Bridge despite comments from David Moyes that he’s not for sale and that he seemed happy at the club.

Three time Open winner Sir Nick Faldo says Rory McIlroy just needs to think about his golf ahead of the major. McIlroy, who has already won two majors, goes into the tournament on the back of some inconsistent form but Faldo says he can banish all of that by just focusing entirely on his golf.

Manchester United are still waiting on a response from Barcelona over the transfer of Cesc Fabregas. United made a bid in the region of £25-26 million for the former Arsenal man but are yet to hear anything back from the Spanish champions over the possibility of a deal.

England are facing a tough choice over whether to play Steven Finn or Tim Bresnan ahead of the second Ashes Test match this week. Finn struggled during the first Test at Trent Bridge which has sparked rumours that he will be replaced by Bresnan as England look to go 2-0 up in the series.

Adidas have dropped their sponsorship deal for Tyson Gay after the American sprinter failed a drugs test. Gay took an out of competition test back in May, which has prompted his sponsors to suspend his contract as the results of his B sample are waited for.
