League of Legends maker is top games company for employees, says survey.
Riot Games, the team behind the hyper competitive online game League of Legends, has been named the fourth best company to work for, according to a survey by Business Insider.
Raking in at number four overall, Riot Games was the highest rated games company, with CEO Brandon Beck receiving a 100% approval rating.
“Riot Games really values its employees and offers them the opportunity to grow and learn,” reads the report. “It has a fully-stocked kitchen, flexible work hours, and a bright workspace.”
Employee feedback highlights the team's passion for gaming and desire to learn and improve upon their skills.
One employee noted: “The company takes ridiculously good care of us, and tries every step of the way to make sure we're engaged culturally, intellectually and socially with the industry and each other.”
Riot Games recently celebrated its lobbying efforts in getting professional players of its competitive online games named “athletes”.
eSports manager Nick Allen described the legal changes as “ground-breaking”, he explained that it meant foreign players could get professional visas to join tournaments and US teams.
