Guggenheim Securities has announced that Managing Director Scott P. Joyce has joined Guggenheim in its newly opened investment banking office in Atlanta, GA.

This addition highlights Guggenheim Securities' commitment to expand within the industrial sector broadly and provides a new focus on industries within the basic materials sector. The new hire also broadens the firm's existing capabilities in M&A and financing.

Joyce has a wealth of coverage and execution experience in the building products, packaging, forest and paper products and metals and mining sectors. Joyce's global client base includes both middle market and large cap companies. Joyce joins Guggenheim Securities from GCA Savvian Advisors where he spent four years as co-head of industrials coverage. Prior to GCA Savvian, Joyce spent nine years at Morgan Stanley, initially in the M&A department and subsequently in the basic materials group.

'The homebuilding crash of a few years ago and the subsequent rebound have reshaped the industry and created great opportunities for a flexible and fast-moving team like ours', said Senior Managing Director Jim Decker. 'Scott's addition bolsters our depth of experience and industry connections, not just in building materials but in the broader industrials arena'.

'I'm very excited to join Guggenheim's growing industrials platform. Given the firm's extensive product offering, custom tailored approach and global reach, I will be able to greatly enhance my coverage efforts to address my clients' most complex needs on a comprehensive basis', added Joyce.
