Which players from the NextGen Series winning team could make the grade in 2013-14?
Chelsea were one of the most consistent teams in last season’s NextGen Series and after beating Arsenal in a thrilling semi-final match they came up against a difficult Aston Villa side in the final and had no answer.
But could any of this bunch make the grade in the first-team next season?
The winger might have let himself down slightly in the final with a red card against Villa but throughout the competition he did look the part.
Absolutely lightning fast down the right hand side he would trouble any left-back with that Olympic pace in his locker.

The Dutchman has perhaps already made something of a breakthrough with Rafa Benitez clearly a fan of the youngster at the end of last season.
He was an important member of the NextGen team and is considered one of the clubs finest young talents in years.
Figuring out his best position may be the biggest challenge because he has the talent to go all the way.
The powerful central midfielder has to be one of England’s most exciting talents.
Compared to former Brazilian great Socrates due to his combination of guile and dynamism he has found himself the envy of clubs the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer.
He certainly has all the characteristics Jose Mourinho looks for in a player; so do not be surprised to see him in the team before the end of the 2013-14 season.
