Nathan Ake has rejected a loan move to Vitesse Arnhem this summer. The 18-year-old is to be farmed out this season in order for him to gain extra match experience but he is not keen on going to play in the Eredivisie. He would rather stay in England and is to have a wide selection of teams from the Premier League and Championship chasing his signature.
Roma have stated that they want Chelsea target Daniele De Rossi to stay at the club. The Italian has been linked with several moves over the past 12 months as he grows disillusioned with the hierarchy at the Giallorossi. However new manager Rudi Garcia wants him to stay with the club.
Jose Mourinho has spoken openly about his admiration for Wayne Rooney this weekend but Manchester United have reacted to the news with good humour; suggesting it was only natural for Mourinho to speak favourably of a player as good as Rooney.
Galatasaray have confirmed that Jose Mourinho made an approach this summer to bring Didier Drogba back to the club. The Ivorian was a favourite of Mourinho’s during his previous spell in charge at Stamford Bridge and is currently enjoying a good spell with the Istanbul side. However they are not keen on a sale and it is now suggested he could arrive in London next summer in a coaching role.
One Chelsea player has been speaking today about the positive affect Mourinho has already had at the club. Brazilian midfielder Ramires says he is encouraged by the early signs of the new regime and believes under his stewardship they can mount a serious title challenge this season:
"I see our team is ready, more interested and with the possibility of fighting for the Premier League title as well, which is something we haven't done in the last few years.’’
Finally and two returning loanees are ready to fight for their place in the first team this season. Romelu Lukaku has rejected a loan move to West Ham in order to fight for a starting berth whilst another Belgian, Kevin De Bruyne, has also stated he plans to repay Mourinho’s faith in him this season with a good campaign.
