San Diego's geek nirvana to see gamers get their hands on next-gen consoles.

Microsoft and Sony have now revealed that the San Diego Comic Con will have both of their next generation consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as playable features at this month's event.

Taking place at the San Diego Convention Centre from July 18th to 21st, the event's Xbox One booth will feature playable consoles running a preview of Halo 4 Champions Bundle.

Other games that Microsoft will be showing off include Dead Rising 3 and Halo: Spartan Assault among others, according to a blog by company mouthpiece Major Nelson.

Sony has also promised its PS4 will also be available to play at its booth, featuring titles such as #DRIVECLUB, Knack and Octodad: Dadliest Catch.

Additionally, gamers will be able to get to grips with upcoming PS3 games Diablo III, Batman: Arkham Origns, BEYOND: Two Souls and more.

“For the first time ever, gamers can go hands-on with the PS4,” read the PS Blog.

“On top of that, we’ll be showing off some of this year’s most highly anticipated PS3 and PS Vita titles, as well as participating in a number of panels throughout the weekend.”

Both titles are set to be released late this year, with the Xbox One expected to hit shelves in November 2013, while Sony promises the PS4 for the holiday season.
