Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for a new striker and a new winger, and judging by the links so far, they are looking at either Belgians or Brazilians.
Tottenham Hotspur’s summer of transfer business started with a flourish as they splashed out of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, but has since floundered as their number one striker target David Villa opted to move to Atletico Madrid over White Hart Lane.
Still on the lookout for a striker, and also in the market for a winger, Spurs are reportedly considering several targets.
So if given the choice, would Spurs fans rather see Bernard and Damiao at White Hart Lane, or Benteke and Chadli?
Bernard and Benteke are likely to be the most expensive players, both valued at around £25million by their clubs with so far little scope for negotiation.
They are also the best two of the four, but Chadli and Damiao both have the potential to be fine players as well.
In terms of pure talent, Bernard is perhaps the most exciting of the quartet, but there would rightly be questions asked if Spurs spent over £20million on a winger when they are in dire need of a striker, and Benteke is available at a similar price.
Chadli is the least well known, but could be a relatively cheap addition to the squad that frees up the money for Benteke this summer.
Of course, as this is Spurs, there is every chance they will fail to follow through on their interest for any of these players, and make a late move for someone completely unexpected. But Spurs fans, if you had the choice, would you want to see more Brazilians or more Belgians arrive at White Hart Lane this summer?
