Arsenal are set to increase their offer for striker Luis Suarez to around the £40 million mark. The Gunners made a £30 million offer earlier in the week which was instantly rejected and the North London side are now being tipped to return with a price that could be harder for the club to turn down.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he’s been in contact with Luis Suarez and the striker wants to play Champions League football. Rodgers is trying to get Suarez to stay at the club ahead of the new season but if any side with elite European football to offer makes a good offer, Liverpool may have to accept it.
