Liverpool latest: Including Suarez choices and Eriksen option

All of the latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours connected to Anfield.

Arsenal remain linked with a big money move for start striker Luis Suarez. The Gunners had a £30 million bid rejected earlier this week but look set to come back to the table with a bigger and better offer, as the player has confirmed he has two or three options on the table.

The Express has suggested that Barcelona are set to revitalise their interest in Liverpool centre back Daniel Agger. The paper suggests that the Spanish giants will now focus on the defender after failing to lure Thiago Silva away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool are still in with a chance of signing Christian Eriksen from Ajax according to reports today. Despite links with Borussia Dortmund, the player himself has confirmed that contact has been established with other clubs as he plans his next move.

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has suggested that Brendan Rodgers is the man to return the club to their glory days. Alonso has ruled out an Anfield return this summer but has backed the current boss to get Liverpool back up to the top of English and European football.

West Ham United assistant manager Neil McDonald says the links with Liverpool’s Stewart Downing are nothing more than speculation. Downing had been linked with a switch to Upton Park but could now be set to stay at his current club heading into the new season.

Stewart Downing is focusing on getting a place in Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad to go to Brazil next summer. The winger’s proposed move to West Ham doesn’t look likely, which means he’ll face the tough task of keeping his place in the Liverpool first team next season.

Moses Odjer says he is flattered to be linked with a summer switch to Liverpool. The Ghanaian Under-20 star says he’s aware of the interest from several top clubs interested in him, saying it feels like a dream to be linked with a move to Liverpool from Tema Youth.

Brazilian midfielder Lucas has been voted as the 36th player in Liverpool’s ‘Players who shook the Kop’ poll. Lucas joined the club way back in 2007 and he could owe a lot of his current popularity to the way he fought back from injury to become a key player for the club last season.

Liverpool have sent young striker Michael Ngoo on loan to Yeovil Town for the coming season. The 20-year-old spent time on loan at Hearts last season and seems to have pushed for the move as he’s not in Brendan Rodgers’ immediate first team Premier League plans.
