Arsenal latest: Including Cesar and £35m Suarez bid readied

News and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates. report that Arsenal are ready to make a renewed £35 million bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Gunners reportedly had a bid of £30 million for the Uruguayan rejected earlier in the summer but now, after the forward admitted he was flattered by the interest in his services, they are preparing to go in for a new bid. The 26-year-old is keen to play Champions League football next term - something Arsenal could offer.

Arsenal are finally set to launch a bid for Brazilian international Julio Cesar. The Mirror report that Arsene Wenger has decided the QPR stopper is the man to take over the goalkeeping reins at the Emirates and is preparing a £1.5 million bid for the 33-year-old stopper.

Theo Walcott says the club is ready to fight for the title next season after insisting that the team can beat anyone.

Speaking to Sky Sports the England international spoke about the excellent run they had toward the end of the 2012-13 season and was clear in his belief ahead of the 2013-14 campaign:

"We need to remember those moments that we had and make sure we do it from the start, because we could be challenging for anything. We could beat anyone,"

Nicklas Bendtner’s deal to join Eintracht Frankfurt may have hit the skids. The Dane was reportedly in Frankfurt yesterday to finalise a deal but it is believed that the club are not willing to meet his wage demands. Instead it appears that Malaga are the new favourites to snap him up.

The Daily Star have reminded us all of the apparent Arsenal interest in Maraoune Fellaini. The Belgian is reportedly wanted by both Arsene Wenger and his former Toffees gaffer David Moyes but the report suggests that Arsenal are still the favourites to snap up the midfielder for £24 million this summer.

Finally, and AS Roma are looking at bringing in Gervinho. New Giallorossi boss Rudi Garcia worked with the Ivorian forward at Lille and wants to bring him in on loan with a view to a permanent £7 million transfer in 2014.
