Last of Us still at No1

Last of Us

Sony exclusive title holds onto top spot for fourth week running.

PlayStation 3 zombie survival title Last of Us has become the first game to hold the No1 spot for four consecutive weeks in 2013, according to data gathered by GfK Chart-Track.

The title, exclusive to Sony's console, has beaten out Bioshock Inifnite and Dead Island Riptide which both held onto the top spot for three weeks a piece.

Hot on the game's heels is Microsoft's Xbox version of Minecraft, which held onto second place, while FIFA 13 climbed one spot to take third, displacing Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Leaf at four.

Assassin's Creed III saw a resurgence of popularity, climbing up four places to come in fifth, which Chart-Track attributes to continued price promotions.

Tomb Raider and Call of Duty: Black Ops II took sixth and seventh place respectively, while last week's debut titles The Sims 3: Island Paradise and Deadpool tumbled down the chart to eigth and ninth place.

Perennially popular Far Cry 3 climbed two spots during the week to once again close off the top ten of the UK software sales charts.
