A select round up of the latest Chelsea transfer news, including John Ruddy, Oriol Romeu and teenager Kyle Scott.

Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy.

The Blues made an initial £5 million bid for the goalkeeper last week and are thought to have gone back in with a £7 million offer for the Norwich shot stopper.

The Canaries are thought to be holding out for a deal, which is closer to the £10 million mark, a fee Chelsea may pay as they see Ruddy as the ideal back up play for current number one at Stamford Bridge, Petr Cech.

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu is thought to be closing on a move to La Liga side Valencia.

Valencia want to sign the holding player on loan for next season, which Chelsea could be open to as they adapted well to his absence last season as he recovered from a knee injury.

The report from Spanish newspaper AS also suggests that the Spanish club are willing to pay a fee to push the loan deal through.

Chelsea teenager Kyle Scott is set to reject an offer to stay with the club.

The 15-year-old will snub the offer according to reports, in order to improve his chances of forcing a move to one of the big two Spanish clubs; Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Scott was part of the Chelsea side which lost to Norwich City in the final of the FA Youth Cup last season and he has also represented the USA at international level via their youth system.
