The latest news stories and transfer rumours coming out of White Hart Lane.

The Daily Mirror has reported Spurs may try to hijack Manchester City’s deal for striker Alvaro Negredo. Manchester City are firmly in the hunt for the Sevilla front man but Sevilla’s sporting director has confirmed that another Premier League side, most likely Spurs, are interested in the attacker.
Tottenham appear to be right in the hunt to sign Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu on loan for next season. Barcelona want their player to go and gain first team experience with Spurs in a duel with several other clubs to try and get him for the next Premier League campaign.
Besiktas have made an offer to sign Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The club’s director Ahmet Piper has confirmed they are keen on signing the striker and have already made an offer. However, the offer is thought to be some way off what Spurs consider Adebayor to be worth.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly focusing their transfer attention on Roma’s Miralem Pjanic after securing Brazilian midfielder Paulinho. The Daily Mail has suggested the club will break the bank to get him after scouting him several times last season.
Arsenal and Liverpool are apparently ahead in the race to sign David Villa from Barcelona. Several sources claimed earlier in the week that Spurs were favourites to sign him but Catalan newspaper Sport has claimed Arsenal and Liverpool are the clubs working on deals for the striker.
Southampton are being linked with a move for long term Spurs target Leandro Damiao. He is thought to be right at the top of the list of potential summer signings for Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino which could force Tottenham’s hand if they are serious over the player.
Brazilian striker Hulk has confirmed that he has had an offer from Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old has reportedly grown fatigued with life in Russian football and is thought to be very keen on a move away from Zenit St Petersburg in order to face a new challenge.
Former Tottenham Hotspur players Calum Butcher and Kudus Oyenuga have signed for Scottish side Dundee United. Both players never quite made the grade at White Hart Lane but have now signed long term deals which gives them a chance to make an impression on Scottish football.
