FC Schalke have made it clear they have no intention of selling youngster Julian Draxler.
The 19-year-old has been strongly tipped to make a summer switch to Stamford Bridge and while offers have been flooding in for the teenager, Schalke have tied him down on a contract to 2018.
“If there are further transfer enquiries for Julian Draxler, I will be fair to those clubs and reject them in a polite way,” general manager Horst Heldt told Bild.
Anzhi Makhachkala are targeting Chelsea striker Demba Ba as a potential new signing.
Ba has already turned down moves to West Ham and West Brom this summer, but could be drawn in by the greater financial rewards of Russian football.
Jose Mourinho seems intent on signing a new high profile striker for the club, which would jeopardise Ba’s place in the current team, just months after the forward first joined the club.
Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta is set to spend another season on loan with Vitesse Arnhem.
The 22-year-old has reportedly spent time at the Dutch club’s training complex, in order to secure a deal ahead of the new season as quickly as possible.
Kakuta has no immediate way into the Chelsea team with the likes of Oscar, Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Ramires, Frank Lampard and several others ahead of him in the pecking order.
