Darren O'Dea, former Leeds United and Celtic defender, showed a rarely seen scoring prowess in Major League Soccer last night.
This time last season Darren O'Dea was probably reflecting on where it all went wrong for him at Leeds United.
He had been loaned to the Championship side from Celtic, his third loan in English football after spells with Reading and Ipswich.
A sending off a few weeks prior to the end of the season cut short his campaign and manager Neil Warnock declared no interest in snapping up the defender who had played in 35 games for the side.
He was subsequently released from his Celtic contract, and later in the summer elected to move across the Atlantic to sign with MLS side Toronto.
O'Dea bagged his first goal for the club yesterday in a 3-3 draw with Montreal Impact, and it was an impressive one, starting and finishing the attack with real confidence.
