A round-up of news and views relating to Chelsea over the past 24 hours.
Chelsea have agreed a fee with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for the transfer of 20-year-old Marco Van Ginkel. Chelsea will pay around £8million for the midfielder, who has been linked with the Blues for the past few weeks. Van Ginkel recently excelled for the Netherlands at the Under-21 European Championship, and was voted Dutch Talent of the Year last season.
Ramires has said he cannot wait to start working with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, with the midfielder expected to be an important part of the Portuguese manager’s plans next season. The Brazilian also said that he expects next year’s title race to be very close, and that having Mourinho will make Chelsea real contenders.
Brazilian forward Hulk has suggested he is considering his options this summer, and that he is aware of interest from several clubs. The 26-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, and would not be averse to leaving Zenit despite only joining the Russian side last summer.
"I have received some offers. A number of clubs are interested in me. But if I do leave, it has to be a step up to a better club and a better league," Hulk told TV Paraiba.
"I am happy to stay here, though, if a transfer does not materialise. Zenit are a great club and I am happy here."
Another reported Chelsea target who will weigh up his future this summer is Sporting Lisbon winger Bruma, who has impressed during the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey. The 18-year-old has drawn interest from several clubs as a result, and Sporting are likely to offer him a new contract in order to try and stave off other sides.
Chelsea could be preparing a bid for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who has indicated he would be happy to leave the Italian capital this summer. De Rossi could be available for around €15million, and Mourinho apparently considers him a good option to bolster Chelsea’s midfield.
