Bookmakers have stopped taking bets on the possibility of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez signing for Arsenal.
The £25 million rated striker has been linked heavily with a move to Real Madrid but a series of bets in Spain last night suggesting Arsenal as his next destination have forced bookies into closing the market on his next possible club.
“It would suggest they have heard something substantial,” said spokesman Rupert Adams.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s chief executive Sergei Palkin has revealed the club will let Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave for a fee of around the €30 million mark.
Liverpool were thought to be ready with a £20 million offer for the Armenian midfielder but his current club have apparently decided to play hard ball over the price, as they look to get the best possible value.
“Borussia Dortmund offered €23 million for him. This was the sole offer, but our position is €30 million,” said Palkin.
Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has revealed he is planning talks with Liverpool target Mamadou Sakho.
The defender has been suggested as a possible replacement for Martin Skrtel in the Liverpool back four but Blanc seems keen to keep the defender as he tries to build his team ahead of next season.
Blanc is thought to be keen on keeping Sakho in Paris and preventing his possible move to Anfield.
