All the latest Tottenham Hotspur news and gossip.

There has been a double development regarding Gareth Bale today, with the upshot of it good news for Tottenham.

Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett this morning was once again quoted on Spanish television discussing the player, confirming that there is no offer on the table for him to consider.

Barnett did however hint that Bale would consider a switch if one were to come forward:

"Bale has not said no, nor yes. There's no offer from Madrid; they have to talk between themselves and we will see what happens."

But there is good news, with Madrid's cheerleaders in chief, Spanish newspaper Marca, running an article today confirming the club have givne up their pursuit for this summer.

"Real Madrid has decided to put the Gareth Bale signing on hold. After receiving yet another "no" from Tottenham Hotspur, Florentino Pérez and his team have decided to call it a day, and now see the signing of Bale this summer as impossible."

Midfield star Sandro has welcomed his compatriot Paulinho to the Premier League, with the £17 million man all set to be a Tottenham player next season.

"I think he has what it takes to do well here. This is a club with a great structure. It has been fighting for the top positions in the last few years and playing in European competitions. Paulinho will certainly help us become even stronger."

He added that he wants to take his new teammate under his wing and show him around London and help him settle in a similar way to how compatriot Heurelho Gomes helped him when he joined the club.

Emmanuel Adebayor is one of two first team players looking to be moving towards a move away from Spurs. The Express report that Spurs are in talks with Turkish club Besiktas over a potential summer transfer.

Scott Parker's potential exit from the club has also taken a step forward, with Harry Redknapp making him his number one target at QPR. The club are said to be preparing an offer for club and player which they hope will tempt Parker to accept stepping down a division. His prospects for next season at Spurs have been dealt a blow by the Paulinho deal, with Fulham also rumoured to be interested in signing him.
