While several Premier League clubs are hoping to move quickly to reshape their front line this summer, none of them can hold a candle to Juventus in terms of rapid action in the transfer market.
The Serie A champions have already completed moved for Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez, with the former agreed in January, and let Nicolas Anelka and Vicenzo Iaquinta leave, along with the Nicklas Bendtner, whose wildly unsuccessful loan spell finished at the end of the season.
Now the Italian club are reportedly looking to sell three more forwards, with Fabio Quagliarella, Mirko Vucinic and Alessandro Matri all on the market this summer.
Whilst none of the trio set the world alight last season, all three did manage to reach double figures despite frequently being rotated, and there are several Premier League clubs who should be interest in them if Juventus are prepared to agree a reasonable price.
Vucinic in particular could be an excellent option for either Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal, with the 29-year-old an excellent option to have either as a back-up central striker or playing on the flank of an attack.
Liverpool and Everton should both also consider the Juventus players, with all four Premier League sides in need of reinforcements in their attack.
Matri and Quagliarella have both been capped by Italy, and would bring a wealth of experience, something that could be useful especially in Liverpool’s young attack. Everton need firepower after their forwards struggled last season, and any of the Juventus players would be a worthwhile option for their squad.
None of Quagliarella, Vucinic and Matri are likely to be incredibly prolific in the Premier League, but all are experienced and their goal-scoring records suggest they would be fine options for any of Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton this summer, and there will plenty of interest in the trio if Juventus are prepared to sell at a fair price.
