News relating to transfer targets, past and present, for Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Edinson Cavani continues to be linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The Uruguayan striker has also been linked with Chelsea in the last couple of days but new PSG boss Laurent Blanc has stated he wants to sign the player and PSG are also less restricted in terms of meeting his massive buy-out clause.

Eric Abidal’s agent has been discussing his annoyance at the behaviour of Monaco in their pursuit of the player. It appeared that the Monegasque side were in pole position to snap up the former Barcelona man, who is a free agent, but they have now pulled out of discussions. Nice are now said to be the favourites for his signature.

Danish international defender Simon Kjaer has been linked with a move away from Wolfsburg once again today; this time it is French outfit Lille who have been linked with his services. German paper Kicker report that the former Roma centre-back could welcome the move to Ligue 1.

Barcelona are again being linked with Thiago Silva today. Catalunya Radio have reported that they will make a €32 million bid for the player after his agent claimed yesterday that the Spanish outfit should put up or shut up in their pursuit of the Brazilian. It appears they will put up.

AS Monaco are after Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio. The big-spending French outfit missed out on number one goalkeeping target Victor Valdes this summer and are now ready to make a €12 million move for the Portuguese international; who has previously been linked with Arsenal.

Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese striker had an excellent campaign for St Etienne last season and has been courting a move to the Bundesliga in recent months. He is expected to complete the move this week in a deal believed to be worth €13 million.

Fiorentina could complete an exchange deal for Roberto Rosales of FC Twente. It is claimed they could use former Ajax striker Mounir El Hamdaoui as an exchange option for the full-back.

Finally and Isco has been presented as a Real Madrid player and he will wear the number 23 shirt that was once worn by David Beckham:
