Serge Aurier is an impressive young right-back who at only 20-years-old had been attracting admiration from Arsenal.
And the feeling was mutual, as the defender showed last week by posting the following photos on his Twitter page:
But he does not appear to be heading to the Emirates any time soon, unless he is going on a fan tour, after deciding to show his commitment to Toulouse.
L'Equipe are reporting that Aurier has further extended his contract at the club, which lasts until 2018.
His previous deal was until 2016, and it's likely he would have netted a nice pay rise from Toulouse in an effort to keep him at the club, to ward off offers elsewhere, with Lyon and Monaco said to be hovering too.
He had only been at Toulouse for 18 months after signing from Ligue Two side Lens, but has since proven himself and is a regular in defence.
With Arsenal seemingly close to keeping Bacary Sagna, it appears the potential for the Gunners to bring him in had certainly gone quiet.
Nevertheless, it's amazing what Tweeting pictures of himself in an Arsenal shirt can do, may be it was his intention to net himself a pay rise and an extension all along...?
