Tottenham Hotspur latest: Croat duo 'negotiating', Paulinho deal done and Bernard

All the latest Tottenham news and gossip.

Talk linking Tottenham with Croatian duo Tin Jedvaj and Alen Halilovic is presently still just that, with no official confirmation from either the club themselves or Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian club's president had hinted a deal was close last night, but the Guardian reported today that the deal is 'still under negotiation.'

Halilovic is a particularly exciting talent, tipped as the next Luka Modric perhaps predictably, but the physical resemblance of the attacking midfielder is plain to see. You can check him out in action here and find out more about him.

Brazilian midfielder Paulinho has held a press conference announcing his departure from Corinthians to join Tottenham. The midfielder said emotionally:

"This is a very hard moment for me, I have had 3 great years at Corinthians, but now it's time to go to."

Atletico Mineiro have confirmed that Bernard is expected to leave the club this summer, admitting they are to cash in on the attacking midfielder. The 20-year-old is interesting Spurs, Dortmund and Porto among others, and his future will become clearer in a fortnight after his involvement for the club at the Copa Libertadores is over.

Talk linking David Villa with Tottenham persists, with The Star claiming today that Spurs are 'preparing to announce' the acquisition of the Spanish striker. The paper report that it is a question of when, and not if, the 31-year-old signs on at White Hart Lane.

Lewis Holtby has said he is very much looking forward to his first pre-season with Tottenham and cannot wait to get started. Holtby will be available from day one despite his involvement at the under-21 championships with Germany earlier this month.

With Spurs linked with Real Sociedad full-back Alberto de la Bella last week, we have taken a look at the Spaniard and what Tottenham fans need to know about the potential new addition.
