Football League transfer talk: Including Ince and Austin

Tom Ince

Blackpool, Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Queens Park Rangers all feature.

Blackpool boss Paul Ince has confirmed the club have accepted a bid for midfielder Tom Ince from Cardiff City. Cardiff are thought to have table an offer of around the £8 million mark but the Tangerines’ boss has said he’s still not sure whether his son will definitely make the move.

Tal Ben Haim, Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell are the highest profile names to be told they will not be staying at Queens Park Rangers. Harry Redknapp seems keen to hit the ground running today as the transfer window opens and the club look to re-build ahead of the new season.

Nottingham Forest will have to go back to the drawing board after a failed £1 million bid for Leicester’s Wes Morgan. The defender only moved to his current side in January last year and Forest will have to significantly up their offer if they want to land him.

Burnley have rubbished reports that they have agreed to sell star striker Charlie Austin to Hull City. Austin was thought to be on the verge of a switch into Premier League football but Burnley boss Sean Dyche has said that’s not the case and he’s carrying on with pre-season as planned.

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign Jamie Paterson from Walsall. The wide man now just has to agree personal terms with his potential new club ahead of a move. The deal for the 21-year-old should go through as soon as terms have been agreed now the transfer window is open.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has confirmed he is looking to bring Shane Ferguson and Ravel Morrison back to the club. Both players have had recent loan spells with the Midlands outfit and Clark says he will do everything possible to bring the pair back to St Andrews.

Former Oldham Athletic winger Lee Croft is in pre-season training with Millwall, as he seeks to earn a deal to the Championship side. Millwall could bring the player in on a free transfer as he’s a free agent and has linked up with the side to improve his fitness to try and get a deal before next season.
