Jose Mourinho is looking to bring Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso to Stamford Bridge.
Alonso’s current deal with the Spanish side is due to expire this time next year and Mourinho is thought to be keen on the former Liverpool star adding an extra level of experience to his Chelsea midfield.
Alonso joined Real Madrid back in 2009 for a fee of just over the £30 million mark and they could now lose him on a free transfer if they don’t sell him this summer and fail to tie him down to a new long term deal.
Several British media sources have suggested Chelsea and West Brom have reached an agreement over a deal for Isaiah Brown.
The fee being speculated over is around the £2 million mark although his age, just 16-years-old, means any final fee would be decided by an independent tribunal looking over the matter.
Arsenal were also tipped to make a move for Brown this summer, but Arsene Wenger appears to have been put off by what could turn out to be a bitter tribunal battle to get good value.
Chelsea look set to go head-to-head against Manchester City for the transfer of talented winger Bruma.
The 18-year-old star from Sporting Lisbon has been linked with a switch to the Premier League over the last few weeks and if a bidding war breaks out, Chelsea and Manchester City can use their vast financial resources to compete against each other.
Bruma has also been linked with Manchester United and has revealed he is flattered by the Premier League interest.
“It's always nice to hear and to know of the interest of big clubs,” he told A Bola.
