The German international only joined Spurs in January and clearly struggled at times to adapt to a new style of football.
Hopefully a summer break will help and he can be the sterling midfielder we all know he is capable of becoming.
Sandro will not be fit to return for pre-season but the French centre-back should be able to return after spending the entire of last season on the sidelines.
It will be interesting to see if he has lost any yard of pace as a result of his knee injury because if he hasn’t he would be as good as a new signing for AVB.
