All of the latest news and transfer stories to do with Tottenham Hotspur.

Brazilian defensive midfielder Paulinho has said Gareth Bale and Andre Villas-Boas are key in any transfer to Tottenham. The Brazilian has been the subject of a bid already by Spurs but there is a chance Real Madrid could make a late move for the player but the deal may rest on Gareth Bale’s future.

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be stepping up their pursuit of Barcelona forward David Villa. The latest reports suggest Franco Baldini has been sent to Spain to negotiate a deal which will see the Spanish striker link up with Spurs before the start of the new season.

Real Madrid’s acquisition of Isco could aid Tottenham’s chances of hanging onto Gareth Bale. Isco is one of the most talented young players in Spain and Europe and the deal could see the pressure released on Carlo Ancelotti to now go after Bale in what would be an expensive and complicated deal.

Andre Villas-Boas has identified Real Sociedad full back Alberto de la Bella as a transfer target for the club. AVB seems keen to strengthen the Tottenham Hotspur defence this summer and the Mirror has suggested the Spaniard is a player AVB has been watching for some time.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides in the mix to sign Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu on loan for next season. Barcelona recently revealed they are looking to loan him out and a permanent transfer is unlikely considering the £30 million buy-out clause in the player’s current contract.

Tottenham will not be thanking former manager Glen Hoddle today after he urged Gareth Bale to consider joining one of the big Manchester clubs. Hoddle has suggested that if the possibility of staying at Spurs isn’t an option then Manchester United and Manchester City should be his only choices.

Montpellier have confirmed that two offers have been received for 23-year-old Younes Belhanda. Spurs were linked with the midfielder earlier in the season and one of those bids could be from them although Arsenal and Aston Villa have also been linked with the Moroccan.

Tom Huddlestone is being offered a way out of White Hart Lane with Sunderland ready to go after him. Several sources have suggested Paolo Di Canio is keen on adding the central midfielder to his Sunderland squad as he looks to prevent the Black Cats falling into another relegation fight next season.

Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has admitted he cheered on Tottenham during their 3-1 win over Manchester City last season. The Dutchman’s new allegiance to Manchester United means van Persie was quite happy to drop his Arsenal roots to support Spurs.
