Sanogo continues impressing Arsenal with assist in France loss to Spain

Arsenal bound Yaya Sanogo continued his impressive form at the under-20 World Cup on Thursday afternoon.

We detailed earlier in the week the exciting form of Yaya Sanogo, which has accelerated through 2013 at Auxerre and now for France's under-20 team.

Sanogo, 20, scored in his side's opening two games, and against an impressive Spain side showed another element of his game.

Spain, favourites to win the under-20 World Cup, lined up against France with qualification to the knockout stages already assured but did not want to let up their winning record.

France went behind to a goal from Valencia striker Francisco Alacer in the first half, before Real Madrid's Jese Rodriguez doubled their league in the second.

They did net a final minute consolation in a 2-1 defeat via substitute Thibaut Vion, who plays for Porto's B side.

Vion was put in on goal by a cross from Arsenal bound Yaya Sanogo, who is scheduled to complete his move to the Gunners on July 1, after his contract at Auxerre expires.

Sanogo displayed his composure and alertness late on in a match which was beyond them, demonstrating positive mental and physical attributes, and he now has two goals and one assist in three games in Turkey.

Ghana's win over USA means France have qualified for the next round, and Sanogo's journey continues at the tournament.

As he continues to impress there is every reason for Gooners to believe he has a chance of making an impact in the first team next season.
