In transfer news, Cristiano Ronaldo will attend a ‘meeting’ with Manchester United officials ahead of his supposed Premier League return, according to reports today.
The Real Madrid and former United favourite is reportedly set to hold talks with his former club prior to his pre-season training commitments in the Spanish capital, in speculation derived from Spanish news outlet El Pais.
Meanwhile, Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara has ‘chosen United’ according to sources. The Catalan youngster has been heavily linked with a £15 million move to Old Trafford in recent weeks.
Elsewhere, Chelsea and United ‘target’ Napoli’s Edinson Cavani is demanding a wage-packet of £300,000 a week, according to The Mirror today.
The same source also claims Wayne Rooney is 'still wanted' at Old Trafford by new manager David Moyes, despite on-going speculation over his future.
Meanwhile, The Express reports that United captain Nemanja Vidic ‘could leave’ for AC Milan this summer.
Also at the San Siro, United are reportedly ‘eying up’ Inter Milan duo Fredy Guarin and Andrea Ranocchia, but midfielder Guarin has already said he has no plans to move on.
