With celebrities such as J-lo, Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck trying and loving the 5:2 diet, find out all of the facts for and against before you give it a go.....
I have to admit to being a bit of a diet addict, especially just before a bikini holiday or an event that I need to be looking my best for. I am a sensible eater and a member of my local gym which I try to visit 5 times a week (I usually only make it to 3 classes most weeks) but i do like to try out a simple weight loss boosting diet every once in a while. I first heard about this diet from my sister, who after consulting with her doctor, decided that this was the best way for her to shift 1 stone to get her back down to her desired weight. After 3 weeks on this plan she has lost 9lbs and has found the "fasting" days really easy, she plans her 500 calories in advance, spacing them out throughout the day and enjoys every mouthful.
After hearing her story and reading this info-graphic I think I might just give it a try, my only concerns would be a loss of energy during my workouts - but as I only get to the gym 4 days out of 7 (if I am lucky) I will plan my 500 calorie days on the ones that I am not in the gym.
What do you think? Will you be trying out this diet or is it a bit faddy for your liking? Have you already tried this diet, and has it worked for you?
Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below the info-graphic.
