Chelsea youngster Cristian Cuevas had a nightmare start from a personal point of view at the under-20 World Cup.

Chelsea fans may have let it slip their mind that they had secured the services of youngster Cristian Cuevas earlier this year.

The Chilean will cost the west Londonders just under £2 million and his move will be completed after the under-20 World Cup.

It's fair to say his participation at the tournament did not get off to the best start, despite Chile's 2-1 opening win over Egypt a day ago.

In the 80th minute he launched into challenge for a 50-50 ball but instead went over it and straight into his opponent's chest.

It looks pretty bad in real time, but that's mainly due to the quite ridiculous reaction of his Egyptian victim who completed at least four rolls as part of his histrionics to ensure Cuevas got sent off.

When Cuevas was handed the red card he was furious, and the decision rules him out of Wednesday's clash with England.

Check it out below and let us know whether it was deserved or not...
