Five players who should leave Manchester United before pre-season

Bebe

We take a look at who could be on their way out of Old Trafford as soon as possible.

The Transfer Window is now in full flow as many a rumour, done deal and negotiation begin to dominate the column inches. Now while more often or not we associate this time of year with new arrivals let us not forget that some players also have to depart.

David Moyes is the new manager at Manchester United and he has already started to tweak things at the club to suit his needs with the hiring and firing of plenty of coaching staff this summer.

So far he has done little of the same with the players; but who should he let go this summer?

Here are five that fit the bill…

Anderson

The injury-prone Brazilian might have already had his day in the sun. He has struggled for game-time over the past few seasons and has struggled to be a consistent member of the first team.

Now might be the perfect time for him to search for first-team football; in particular in a World Cup year.

Bebe

Time up for Bebe? He is being linked with a move to Sporting Lisbon and the Middle East and while many have talked up his loan spell at Rio Ave he was still average at best and not United quality.

You figure the only reason he is still at the club is because he was Fergie’s baby; now with Fergie gone they can shift the forward.

Fabio da Silva

I really struggle to see the appeal in Fabio and last season on loan at QPR he was one of the more woeful of performers; particulary when it came to his defensive duties.

He also looked out of shape and a shade of his more illustrious brother. We doubt Moyes will be a fan.

Federico Macheda

Another loan-spell without a goal for the Italian and VfB Stuttgart have admitted that they will not be following up any interest in the player.

Without a goal at United for over two years surely the time has come to give up on this once promising striker.

Nani

The Portuguese winger is to seek assurances from Moyes over his future at the club after making just a handful of starts for the club last season.

With his contract up in 2014 expect United to cash in while they can on the tricky winger.

Who do you think will be leaving Old Trafford this summer?
