European transfer talk: Featuring Corchia, Guarin and Pjanic

Transfer targets for Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool feature.

Kaka has been linked with an incredible switch to American third division outfit Orlando City. The club believe that Kaka’s friendship with part-owner and billionaire Flavio Augusto da Silva as well as his love for Florida; where he is currently holidaying. His contract expires in 2015 and Orlando hope to join the MLS in the same year.

Italy’s co-ownership blind auctions have taken place today. Players of note include Antonio Caracciolo, Alexander Merkel and Robert Acquafresca; who will play at Brescia, Udinese and Bologna next season.

Valencia defender Jeremy Mathieu has ended speculation over his future. The French international has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks but he has reportedly signed a new deal at the Mestalla that will keep him at the club until 2017.

Rumours in Spain suggest that Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin has also become a transfer target for Barcelona. The Inter Milan playmaker has been courted by Anzhi Makhachkala and Tottenham in recent weeks and is being earmarked as a replacement for Thiago Alcantara should he leave this summer.

Sebastien Corchia’s club Sochaux have been given a deadline of Monday to decide whether to accept Lyon’s bid for the player. Lyon want him to replace Anthony Reveillere, who has left the club on a free transfer this summer. Corchia is believed to be the subject of a €5 million bid from the club and interest from Bundesliga clubs.

Lyon’s negotiations with Napoli for club captain Maxime Gonalons have been confirmed. The French international has been declared not for sale on numerous occasions by the French outfit but he may disagree with that stance.

AS Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund. He is the latest man to be linked with replacing Mario Gotze; who has joined Bayern Munich this summer. The Bosnian is apparently set to be the subject of a €14 million bid from the Bundesliga.
