The Bureau DLC announced

Bureau Xcom Declassified Cover

Exclusive pre-order goodies and extra content unveiled for dapper alien hunting game.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is set benefit from story-focused DLC following its release later this August, according to announcement made by 2K Games.

Promising to delve into the secret origins of the clandestine XCOM group in the alternative universe 1960s, the first bit of new content will be exclusive to the Xbox 360.

“We take great pride in our track record of providing high-quality post-release content for our games,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K.

“We will continue to expand the XCOM universe by telling original stories set in the paranoia-drenched Cold War era of The Bureau.”

Additionally, players who pre-order the title will be rewarded with an extra mission called “Codebreakers”, in which a military base responsible for decoding alien communications goes ominously silent.

“The alternate 1962 universe that we’ve created for The Bureau is vast and there are many more stories to tell about the early days of XCOM,” added Morgan Gray, development director at 2K Marin. “We’re excited that our stories will provide a new perspective on the war effort.”
