Arsenal are ready to step up their pursuit of Levante winger Ruben Garcia. It is reported that The Gunners are willing to pursue the Spanish youngster but first want to check out his contract situation at the Valencian club. It is reported that Garcia has a €10 million buy-out clause and the 19-year-old admitted he would be interested in a North London move last month.
The Gonzalo Higuain deal appears to be edging to formality as many a national report on the deal being completed by the end of the week. With a fee believed to be in the region of £22 million he will become the clubs record signing and the Argentine is also said to become the clubs record earner on £150k-a-week.
It is also being reported they are ready to move for Real Sociedad holding midfielder Asier Illarramendi. The 23-year-old is currently on international duty with Spain’s under-21 side in Israel and has had an excellent campaign for the Basque outfit as they qualified for the Champions League. However his release clause of £25.7 million could prove a stumbling block.
The Sun reported this morning that Laurent Koscielny will snub Bayern Munich and Barcelona this summer. It was reported yesterday that the Frenchman’s agent has been approached by the two clubs but the paper believe that Koscielny would snub either option in any case.
Yaya Sanogo has revealed he was ‘impressed’ by the way in which Arsenal went about attempting to secure his services in the summer. The Frenchman, 20, will join The Gunners this summer after agreeing a move from AJ Auxerre this summer and he spoke of the way Gilles Grimandi and Arsene Wenger went about courting his services with high regard.
Finally and Arsenal are ready to make a bid for West Brom’s internet sensation 14-year-old Yan Dhanda. He has recently been called up for England under-16 duty and has caused plenty of furore with his YouTube videos.
