Liverpool are pushing ahead with plans to sign Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk. It’s being reported that Brendan Rodgers will ask the Liverpool board to commission a £20 million bid for the target, which would stretch Liverpool’s summer spending to the limit.

Liverpool are set to demand Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid if they are forced to sell Luis Suarez. The future of Liverpool’s star striker is still up in the air but reports are suggesting Liverpool will do a deal for him if it means they receive the Under-21 Spanish star.

Liverpool have seemingly reached a deal with Sevilla to sign Luis Alberto. The Daily Mirror has reported that the 20-year-old will agree to a four-year deal later this week with the move going through officially as soon as the transfer window opens next month.

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has praised the club’s swiftness in signing Kolo Toure as a free agent. Toure’s contract with Manchester City was not renewed, forcing him to find a new club for the 2013/2014 Premier League season and Liverpool have obliged.

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is set to undergo a tough medical examination ahead of his permanent transfer to West Ham. Carroll has a history of injury problems, which could cause his permanent move to Upton Park to fall through following his loan spell with the Hammers last season.
